The Imo state police command has confirmed that it moved former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district, to its custody to clarify why he led violent breaking into the federal government sealed Royal palm spring property alongside Akachi street in Owerri.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri.
He mentioned that the police moved to Akachi street once they obtained a misery name that the Royal Palm spring Property sealed by the federal government had been violently opened by males led Okorocha.
Orlando briefly mentioned: “The command obtained a misery name concerning what we termed to be an unrest at Royal Spring palm property, and the operatives moved to the place we found Okorocha led some individuals to the place hitherto sealed by the Imo authorities.
“The command calmed the scenario and invited Okorocha, to return and clarify why he led the violent breaking into the property that led to damages.”
Vanguard investigation additionally revealed that these arrested alongside Okorocha, included a few of his former political appointees, Steve Asunobi, lasbery Anyanwu and Ijeoma Igboanusi.
