SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Alphabet Inc’s YouTube has eliminated 5 channels of Myanmar’s military-run tv networks hosted on its platform within the wake of the coup within the Southeast Asian nation.
“We’ve got terminated a lot of channels and eliminated a number of movies from YouTube in accordance with our group pointers and relevant legal guidelines,” a Youtube spokeswoman stated in a press release in response to a Reuters query.
The channels taken down embrace the state community, MRTV, (Myanma Radio and Tv) in addition to the military-owned Myawaddy Media, MWD Selection and MWD Myanmar, in response to the U.S tech large.
